So surprised to read some negative reviews. My experience today was perfect. Salon was clean and tidy. The chap that did my hair was friendly, welcoming, comforting, and confident in what he was doing. He understood what I asked for 100% and I was really happy with the work done. I just needed a neaten up of my undercut so I looked sharp before I start a new job on Monday. Really happy with it and my other half complimented it as soon as I got home. Will be coming back every time I need a neaten up from now on.

This is an edit to my previous review. My first visit was unfortunately a bad experience, I was booked in with Paige and unfortunately didn’t get the cut I asked for (minimal length cut and mainly focusing on thinning my very thick hair) After seeing the review, Rosie who works at hairstyle avenue contacted me. She apologised and asked if I would like to come in and see her for a free of charge correction haircut. I was very taken back by this but accepted her kind offer and I’m so glad I did. Rosie really is a fantastic hair dresser. I got the cut I was hoping for the first time I came here. I was very cautious going back but honestly couldn’t be happier with the service and cut I received today. So if you see this Rosie, thank you. I really appreciate you going out of your way and taking time out of your day to correct my hair.

I booked an appointment here on-line on a spur of the moment. I had been needing to get my hair cut for a while but since my long-used barbers closed down (boo hiss!) I haven't found a place that I felt comfortable in. Chose a time that I thought wouldn't be too busy for the car park next door (this gets really busy at peak times). I didn't specify who I would like on the booking though you can do that. I had no experience to base a choice on. Had a chat with Conor about what I wanted (vague ideas really). We had a good chat while he went about his business, fully involved in the new hair cut so happy with the result. A really nice person who seemed to know what he was doing. Felt genuinely relaxed and comfortable throughout. Walked out with a spring in my step though that may have been the weight (literally) off of my shoulders. A little more expensive than I would normally pay for a hair cut but normally I just expect a quick clipper to fixed grades with a trim. I expect to be coming back before I get married next month so there's obviously some trust from a good first experience.

This is a great place for anyone looking to freshen up their looks. Not only did I get my own hair cut and a great price and it was a great cut, I also got my 2 boys hair cut which with their ADHD, is often a challenge but they sat wonderfully in this relaxed and laid back setting.
